NATE HVAC/R NEW HIRE TRAINING MODULE WEBINAR 2022 REGISTRATION

This training module is designed for novice-level technicians who are just entering the HVAC/R field with little to no formal education or training. First and foremost, it begins by focusing on the numerous areas of safety that installers and service technicians are to know when working on the various systems within our industry. It also includes an introduction and comprehensive overview of the fundamental knowledge and skill sets new hires should possess, such as component identification, tool selections and identification, system measurements and units, heat transference and airflow. This module concludes by outlining the proper soft skills and diagnostic steps required when servicing residential or light commercial HVAC/R systems in the field.

Instructor: Mitchell Bailey, President and CEO of Air Heroes and Bailey’s Heating & Air, has worked in the HVAC industry for over 45 years. During this time, he has designed, installed, maintained, and serviced tens of thousands of residential, commercial, and industrial systems in the Central Valley. Much of the work that his company does today centers around home performance that delivers measurable results translating to the customer saving significantly on their utility bills, while also providing the ultimate in comfort. He has held since 1985, B-general, C-20 HVAC, and C-36 Plumbing contractors licenses and is also Building Performance Institute-Building Analyst Professional certified. His industry certifications include 4-National Comfort Institute (NCI) and 8-North American Technician Excellence certifications (NATE). Over the last 7 years Mitch has also been an instructor and NATE proctor with IHACI. In 2000 Mitch served on the panel that evaluated and made changes to the California C-20 Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Contractors License test.

Moderator: J. Jeffrey Painter has more than 40 years’ experience as a Service/Maintenance Technician and Installer in the HVAC/R/SM residential, light commercial, and commercial markets. He is North American Technician (NATE) certified and a Certified Master Trainer through the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER.) He most recently served as School Director of DeHart Technical School. He personally conducted all start-up activities for DeHart Technical School to include facilities development, staffing, curriculum development and Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE). He received institutional Accrediting Council for Continued Education and Training (ACCET) and programmatic (NCCER) accreditation. He has been involved in Private Postsecondary Education for the past 24 years as an Instructor, Placement Coordinator, Job Developer, Admissions Director and School Director. He brings to IHACI decades of hands-on HVAC industry skills and knowledge and a wealth of education and training experience.
