Instructor: John Dalton has actively been involved in the HVAC/R industry for more than 47 years. Having started as a residential, commercial, and institutional service technician, he has held positions in service, installation, sales, design, engineering, technical class training, technical field support, company management, and most recently as Senior Project Engineer for Universal Air Conditioning Company, Inc. He has taught HVAC/R design, installation, commissioning, service, and engineering for the last forty-one years and currently sits on several community college and trade school advisory boards. An active member of IHACI, RSES, and NATE, Mr. Dalton currently chairs the IHACI education committee, holds a CM certification level with RSES, writes technical curriculum for contractor training through the California utilities, has taught and proctored thousands of installation and service technicians throughout California in NATE, is one of only three non-union HVAC/R technicians certified and registered to conduct commercial mechanical acceptance testing in the State of California, and is only one of five HVAC/R technicians in the world to hold all 19 installation, service, and senior service certification levels with NATE.

Moderator: Michael D. Griffin owns and operates M&M General Repair since 1982, specializing in home service of air conditioning, heating and most major appliances, and AirFlow Specialties since 2004 specializing in Title 24 Verifying, Energy Efficiency, Delivered Efficiency measurements and retrofits, covering most of Los Angeles County and Southern California performing Duct Pressure Testing, Fan Flow Measurement, Refrigerant Charge Verification, Fan Efficacy and Energy Efficiency. Mike is an IHACI Instructor, member of the IHACI Education Committee, a H.E.R.S. Rater, a Certified Technical Educator, and one of three Certified Mechanical Acceptance Testing Employers/Technicians in California. Mike is certified by both CalCERTS and CHEERS as a H.E.R.S. Rater, as well as NATE (North American Technician Excellence) certified in Service and Installation, Gas Furnace, and has Certifications in Light Commercial & Residential Air Balance, Commercial & Residential System Performance from NCI (National Comfort Institute).
