Solution to Last Month’s Problem: A Package Unit Problem

by Jim Johnson

The high and low pressure switches are wired in series with the contactor coil. The component we proved as not likely to be the problem was the thermostat. The unit is leaking refrigerant. The refrigerant needs to be recovered, the leak repaired, a new drier installed, and the system needs to be evacuated and re-charged.
