IHACI Celebrates 25th Annual Spring Golf Tournament

On Monday, May 18, 2009, the Institute of Heating and Air Conditioning Industries, Inc. (IHACI) celebrated its 25th Annual Spring Golf Tournament at the California Country Club in Whittier, Calif. Members of the HVAC industry, from manufacturers and distributors to dealers, were on hand for a shotgun/scramble game of 18-hole golf, followed by cocktails and dinner.

An awards reception and raffle followed the barbecue dinner in which $5,000 worth of prizes were raffled off and the first, second, third and highest score golf teams were announced.

The Viking Heating and Air, Inc., team—Bret Adkins and Al Wilborn, Viking Heating & Air, Inc.; and Bob Curran, Air Products, Inc. and Mike Crane, Air Cold Supply—won the trophy for first place. A close second was the Commercial Van Interiors team—Tony Merten, Steve Lichtmacher, Mark Melton and Manny Hernandez—which also took home a trophy.

Third prize when to the Mitsubishi Electric HVAC team of Buddy Delaney, Bobby Hahn, Greg Flynn and John Rees. Another team from Commercial Van Interiors, consisting of Rich Murrell, R.J. Kloessner, Brian Herrigan and Bert Lyons, won the prize for highest score.

Additionally, Steve Adams, Ferguson Heating & Cooling, and Dave Price, Synergy Companies, won the Closest to the Pin award; while Bret Adkins, Viking Heating & Air, Inc., won the prize for Longest Drive.
